Flying High and Low(e): A Vertical Dance Workshop

Limerick, Ireland
Soar with San Francisco, California dance-maker and aerialist Megan Lowe, who is visiting Ireland for the first time! Together, we will explore flight via rope and harness vertical dance—activating walls and low flying floor space with fun and invigorating dancing. Embark on a creative process that includes wall running, rotations, inversions, flips, and opportunities for partnering. This workshop is geared toward experienced dancers and/or aerialists, with some familiarity with moving in a harness and using belay devices like rigs and gri-gris. Participants will have opportunities to learn via improvisation, developing specific skills, building sequences, expressing their own artistic voice, collaborating, and engaging in rigorous joyful dancing! All gear will be supplied. Megan is super excited to dance with you!
