November 21st, 2020
Saturday at 7pm
Available Online via Zoom
"It's Athletic Playground's 12th Anniversary and we wouldn't dream of missing it - even though we are very much missing all of you! Megan Lowe Dances will be sharing excerpts of Action Potential, a site-specific dynamic dance and live music adventure created for Emeryville's Athletic Playground in 2019. Wathc Megan, Sonsherée Giles, and Shira Yaziv artfully activate ladders, planks, bars, mats, blocks, walls, and each other, channelling their inner superheroes, climbing, lifting, assisting, jumping, and flying in celebration of movement, trust, strength, resilience, and the ability to take action.

Meeting Room
Presented by Joe Goode Performance Group in Virtual Open House
October 30th, 2020
Friday at 7pm
Available Online via Twitch.tv
"Meeting Room" is a site-specific duet rooted in contact improvisation and partnering in relationship to a space. In this dance, Megan and Sonsherée must all ways be in contact with an architectural structure in the room, either directly or through each other—an exciting challenge for the dancers to explore, that evolves as they shift from surface to surface. Through this unique rule and limitation, new possibilities of movement and relating to each other are found.
JGPG invites you to the FIRST of their new Virtual Open House series this fall, a new Annex platform for digital performance; an informal & conversational exchange between participants and artists. Artist Lineup: Afia Thompson, Daria Garina / Celia Sagastume, Ali Montgomery, Andréa Spearman / A. Spearman & Co., Megan Lowe / Sonsherée Giles, and Robert Moses.

Dance Brigade is pleased to announce its latest evening-length dance work, Butterfly Effect, which takes on the climate crisis. Created and directed by Krissy Keefer, the title is a nod to the idea that small actions can have far-reaching consequences. Featuring a live musical score by Bruce Ghent, Butterfly Effect pays tribute to the devastatingly large number of activists that have been silenced, often brutally, because they have spoken truth to power. Megan will be primarily singing in this show, with a little bit of dancing as well.
