Air Between Us is a landmark vertical dance performance, where aerial performers scale walls, soar across open spaces, and cascade down a building facade—turning the architecture of Yerba Buena Center for the Arts into an uncommon dance partner.
In this new site-specific work from Megan Lowe Dances, performers climb, float, and fall in a choreography shaped by gravity, trust, and interdependence. What unfolds is both breathtaking and intimate: bodies moving through air, gathering and separating, revealing how the space between us can hold tension, tenderness, and connection.
Created for a city newly aware of the fragility of breath, Air Between Us invites audiences to look up, feel together, and experience YBCA in a way they never have before.

Audio Description
For blind and visually impaired audience members, Megan Lowe Dances partners with Gravity Access Services to offer live audio description and haptic access tours for our Saturday, May 16 at 2:00pm performance. The haptic access tour will begin at 1:00pm. Audio description is a live audio track spoken by a professional audio describer to audience members with visual impairments through a wireless headset system. It provides clear and engaging descriptions of the meaningful visual details of a performance. Haptic access tours (20-30 minutes) are a live pre-show tour that allows patrons to experience—through touch and their own movement— the space, performers, costumes and objects in addition to key movement elements in the performance.
